Rebel with

Turning strategy into change — building a more collaborative and inclusive society for over 25 years.
Deputy CEO
finance&invest.brussels
A career spent removing friction to make room for change.
Béatrice de Mahieu is a Brussels-based innovation and impact leader with more than 25 years bridging corporate leadership, entrepreneurship, ecosystem building and startup financing.
After a career in telecoms, technology and media, she led two of Brussels' flagship innovation organisations — the open-innovation hub Co.Station and the social-impact coding school BeCode — before being appointed Deputy CEO of finance&invest.brussels.
A self-described “rebel with a cause,” she is driven by digital inclusion, education access and social justice — training jobseekers, refugees and the people too often left behind by the digital revolution.
Alongside her executive work she holds numerous board and investment-committee mandates and serves as Entrepreneur in Residence at Vlerick Business School. She holds a Master's in Marketing & Advertising from IHECS, Brussels.
If we can change something for the better during our short life on Earth, we have an obligation to do it.Béatrice de Mahieu
